Description:

Mid 80's medley with Dolly Parton. (Her sheepish voice doesn't do much for the song, but what the heck, it's still The Hag himself!!!).

Kenny was a big waste of her time. He can't sing , he's just good at eating KFC

You're welcome. Also, he wrote the 1999 book, "My House of Memories," and he mentioned about always having a soft spot in his heart for Dolly. I can't blame him for feeling this way about her because she does have such a bubbly, outgoing personality and a friendly, lively spirit about her that will make anyone confortable.

Yes, you are right. Read his 1981 book, "Sing Me Back Home," and you will find info on his feelings about Dolly.

Oh, yeah, Bonnie and Merle, they were great together. BTW your list misses The Possum. He and The Hag are the greatest! Country radio nowadays is anything but country. New performers are RUINING what Merle, George Jones, and Johnny Paycheck helped to build. Stay tuned, I'll get you some other great country stuff this week.

I like Janie too (and Bonnie Owens also harmized great wtih Merle), but Dolly's one of the few modern country performers whose legend and authenticity are equal to that of Merle (Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson are the ony others i can think of). It's a shame that none of these greats ever appear on country radio anymore. :-(

Of course I'd rather hear The Hag than Kenny, but I believe Merle's greatest duets were with Janie Fricke back in the middle of the 80's.

Thanks for posting this. I disagree, I think Dolly and Haggard sound GREAT together! I wish they'd actually recorded something with him. I'd much rather hear Dolly with Haggard than the likes of Kenny Rogers!
