You pay a real percentage of the real value of you home. From what I got you've a (fiscal) advantage coming in US only if you're an entrepeneurer or a high-level employee. But no, it's not just because of the oil, it's more a matter of philosophy. Denmark, Sweden and Norway are very much the same. All 3 Scandinavian countries share the same vision in making their country best possible for all citizens. And please, Americans, don't call them sosialistic countries. They are not! Both Sweden and Denmark are blue, at the moment Norway have a red/green coalition government. __________________________________________________
