AntionetteMenendez ::: Favorites I love my city forever. I dont live there anymore (in Dallas) but I still love it! I was there...and suffered in the Superdome for FIVE DAYS after being rescued from my house in the 8th ward. I lost EVERYTHING....and as for the response....it was horrible. How is it so easy to send troops halfway around the world but you cant send some right in your own country. I am steadly hoping for 2008 when a certain man in power will no longer rule. 07-08-09 02:25:01 _____________________________________________________

I know the Army National Guard, and the Coast Guard were there rescuing people by helicopter, but there should have been more soldiers sent in, did bush know it was this bad??? 07-08-13 04:15:00 _____________________________________________________

joezeppi ::: Favorites There were 1400 people killed when the water rushed into the city following the levee breaches and then left thousands stranded on their rooftops, at the Superdome, and at the Convention Center in New Orleans. The estimated number of airborne rescues was 25,000. That's not counting the extra thousands that were rescued by boat by officials as well as residents themselves. This is a great video and I highly suggest you watch the Spike Lee Documentary "When the levees broke" 07-08-20 03:30:02 _____________________________________________________
