Description: This is the video I made for Mulholland Drive way back in 2003. I'd seen the movie a week or two beforehand and couldn't shake it (if you've seen the movie then you know what I mean, right?). I saw it posted elsewhere on YouTube and thought I'd post the proper aspect-ratio version. If anyone is interested in seeing the high-quality master, send me a message and I might upload it somewhere. For now, if you just want to download the video, you can at http://mulholland-drive.net/clips/immortal.wmv (excellent MD analysis site, based on the forum discussions at Rotten Tomatoes) After I made the video, I sat on it for 2 years, then by luck I stumbled on to the rottentomatoes(dot)com MD fan discussion board. I posted it there, the fans loved it, and the owner of mulholland-drive net agreed to host it after that. I also posted it at iFilm, but that screwed up the aspect ratio, and that's the version you're seeing posted by other users at YouTube. Song is "My Immortal" by Evanescence. I chose the song because of the words and piano, that's all - at the time, it wasn't used and abused by every DJ in the world. Evanescence, before they got sent off to Hollywood and turned into bubblegum pop, used to be a tight little indie rock band where I came from. So, the song got old when they hit it big. By then, the video was already made. Deal with it. If you haven't seen the movie, see it. Seriously. Now.

willowest ::: Favorites idk um yea that's something entirely new. I never perceived it as some sort of lesbain drama. there was death throughout the movie. Now that I'm typing this I'm starting to question Lynch's reasons for choosing a lesbian relationship since he's a master of manipulation with subliminal images. And then, once you've done that, go make your own music video. GW, fan-freakin'-tastic video. The music? Not my favorite but hell, forget that. This is one memorable piece of fanmade work.
