NOW PBS Cindy Sheehan anti-war Iraq activist Afghanistan soldier troops army military Bush war Brancaccio
Description: In a NOW on the News Web-exclusive audio interview from May 31, Cindy Sheehan tells NOW on PBS Host and Senior Editor David Brancaccio that she plans to rest up, spend time with her family, and then continue her struggle against the Iraqi war. "We're going to pull back and regroup and figure out a better way to come at this," Sheehan told NOW. Sheehan - whose son, Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, died in Iraq in 2004 - announced on Memorial Day that she was done being the public face of the movement. "I think my mission, my activism has reached a brick wall," she tells Brancaccio. Sheehan gained national attention when she camped outside President Bush's Texas ranch in August 2005 demanding to talk with the President. Learn more at http://www.pbs.org/now/news/322.html |

tubetrekker30 ::: Favorites 2007-09-29 14:04:04 Sheehan is smart, knowledgable and extremely brave. Those who are against her don't have substantive points to back up their objections to her. They just don't read and are going to suffer what their decisions are bringing to all of us. Thanks for bringing her to us, NOW program. __________________________________________________
Jaysin1818 ::: Favorites 2007-09-16 03:32:48 Cindy Sheehan is one of the dumbest people on the planet. Her son enlisted in the army, no one made him do it... her stupidity is beyond comprehension. __________________________________________________
truthforamerica ::: Favorites 2007-09-09 17:15:58 Yes, we understand. No one here at home is allowed to get married while a war is going on. Get some brains. __________________________________________________ |
