Description:

This is part 1 of 7 of a Frontline documentary titled, "Blair's War." It aired 03 April 2003 - less than a month after the invasion of Iraq. Ask yourself as you watch - Are we better off for having gone to war? Was the rationale for war consistent with a more secure world?

ONLY a Brit would call the British army handling control of Basra over to shite Iraq police, who are controlled by the Mahdi Army the very insurgents the UK soldiers were fighting against and then go crawl out of Basra in the middle of the night under the protection of a curfew a victory. The FACT is the international perception of the rest of the world due to the British army poor performance in Iraq, is that it's WEAK. period!

I just wanted to bring to you Brits attention in case you want to know how REAL soldiers kept the Iranians from capturing them, I suggest you: Go to GOOGLE (dot) Com Type in Iran unable to take Australians Then read your own BBC News article about the story. The fact is your arm forces have a lot to learn on "how to take care of business" and to use an old English quote: "You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have been found wanting."

Iran captured 15 British sailors (without a fight) and convinced them (again without a fight) to confess that they were spying in Iranian territory. And now the news reports, British forces will make an "ugly and embarrassing" withdrawal from the Iraqi city of Basra, when they hand it over IN DEFEAT to local Iraqi forces in a few months. Nowadays the British army is just a weak and cowardly fighting force when compared with the "Brave" Ameri-CAN arm forces.
