tingkimsheng ::: Favorites i find this video funny as before the explosion, the driver was still fanning using his hand as the oil split out is veri smelly... but he alr has his helmet on, fanning is of no use -.- about a split secong after the driver's reaction, the explosion occurred... it is so funny... the crew members' reaction are funny too... =D 07-06-20 07:27:44 _____________________________________________________

Kaczorra ::: Favorites High octane fuel burns very fast, so I think this fire was extinguished few moments after explosion, especially that pit stop crew is ready for every circumstance. Also F1 drivers have special fire-proof clothes, that can protect from fire for about one minute. I think that pit stop crew was hurt more than driver. 07-04-16 12:09:34 _____________________________________________________
alizarin190123901239 ::: Favorites I did a little research and it looks like he was hurt but lived: On a more serious and important note, Jos' most famous moment occured the very same year at Hockenheim. During a pitstop fuel was spilt onto Verstappens car, causing it to briefly catch fire. At the time Verstappen had his visor open and the resultant flames caused severe burns to his nose. Since then drivers have always kept their visors down during pitstops. Back to racing in 2005, in a new form of motorsport.... 07-04-16 08:47:29 _____________________________________________________
