Description: I've been playing around with Windows Movie Maker and decided to make a video with subtitles. I chose a 2004 news report about the Chavacano language from TVE, a TV station based in Spain. Enjoy the video. I speak Spanish, but had some difficulty with translating certain phrases. But I think it's pretty much understandable. Since I study Philippine languages and linguistics, I put some of my own commentary which is loosely based on a blog post I did on this back in 2004. additional keywords: español languages filipinas ilonggo criollo pidgin

sitisoy ::: Favorites Thanks for pointing that out. I originally wrote "southwestern Philippines" but didn't look right. So I WANTED to change it to "western Mindanao."
