And for the record, I'm not necessarily for pulling out (we cannot be perceived by the Arab world as having lost), but I sure as shit wouldn't want to be in it. Afghanistan? Sure (I live in NYC and have bone to pick), but not Iraq. I don't know that John's actually ever seen these types of images of war, but he ought to know what could be.

Our family is represented by three wars: WWII (grandfather), Korea (father), Vietnam (uncle). I used such graphic imagery because I don't know that our nephew is aware of what he may be in for.
